Ipswich, Suffolk is a town based approximately 70 miles north east of London that has excellent road and rail links to London, Cambridge and Norwich, all of which can be reached in around an hour by train. Ipswich is also well situated for access to all the London Airports.
Set on the River Orwell, its waterfront is lined with cafes, galleries and shops, and the 19th-century Old Custom House, which recalls the town’s maritime history. The town centre itself hosts many of the well known High Street Stores, providing a good selection from clothing retailers, supermarkets, coffee shops and restaurants.
There are several parks situated within the town centre, the largest being Christchurch Park, which also has a 500-year-old Mansion House. Christchurch Park is also host to various music and family friendly events, many of which are free. Ipswich is also home to Ipswich Town Football Club which is located in the heart of the town.
Ipswich is situated 15 miles from the nearest beach of Felixstowe and there are plenty of other beaches and seaside towns located along the east coast.
